Project superfast LPV of OBA stars (OBA stars sfLPV)
The project sfLPV (superfast LPV Line Profile Variability) is aimed to study the variation of the line profiles in the spectra of all type of stars at the short time scale from seconds to hours. We analyse the spectral observation with both the moderate size telescopes to check if such kind of the LPVs exist and with the large telescopes to study these LPVs in detail. Simultaneously we try to measure the magnetic field of all program stars.
Telescopes and spectrographs
- 8-m telescopes VLT in ESO with the FOcal Reducer low dispersion Spectrograph (FORS 1/2),
- 6-m telescope BTA in the Special Astrophysical Observatory (Russia) with the low resolution spectrograph SCORPIO and the moderate resolution spectropolarimeter MSS (Main Stellar Spectrograph),
- 1-m ZEISS-1000 (Z1000) telescope in the Special Astrophysical Observatory (Russia) with the moderate resolution spectrograph UAGS,
- 1.25-m ZTE telescope equipped with the low resolution spectrograph A-Sp at the Crimean station of the Sternberg Astronomical Institute (Moscow University, Russia).
- 2.5-m SAI25 telescope equipped with the Dual Beam Transient Spectrograph TDS at the Caucasus Mountain Observatoryof the Sternberg Astronomical Institute (Moscow University, Russia).
New directions of our studies
a) We plan to add new targets to our list of the program stars including the bright FGKM stars, W-R and Ae/Be Herbig stars;
b) We also plan to organise the fast UBV and other filters photometry of our targets with the moderate size telescopes at the Tien Shan Astronomical Observatory in Kazakhstan;
c) We are going to use the analog of the SCORPIO spectrograph at the 2.6 meter telescope of the Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory (BAO), Armenia for observations of the new targets .
