The Church of the Saviour was built instead of a burnt wood church in 1689. It has neither bell
tower nor refectory and was erected close to the Archangel Church for the summer public worship.
Its decoration outside is not very rich. However, in the 19th century the inside of the Church was beatifully painted and had a
picturesque iconostasis with many pretty icons. In 1898 the dome crosses were covered with gold. The
Church of the Saviour and the Archangel Church formed a single
architectural ensemble with a 30-meter stone bell tower (built in 1733). The bell tower has not been preserved. During the
Communist times the Church gradually went to ruin and needs restoring.
