An excellent monument of Solikamsk architecture, the Epiphany Church,
was built in 1687-1695. The Church consists of a main temple, a small altar (east), a refectory, a bell tower (west), and the
Our Lady of Vladimir side chapel (south).
The facades of the Church are decorated with the brilliant stone carving, which has the variety of shapes. One can see the double
row of tiles, adorned with quaint blue, yellow, and green flowers and birds, arcs, small columns, waves, and many other
architectural elements. Five traditional domes top the main temple. The central dome is 13 meters of full stretch. It is presumed
that the domes of the Epiphany Church were covered with green tiles. Nowadays they are covered with
iron. In the second half of the 18th century the Church bell tower (in the photo) was added more three tiers to install a clock.
A rare monument of the old Russian art has been preserved in the Epiphany Church. This is a wood
carved iconostatsis with gates. It is decorated with lacy patterns and has more than 70 icons belonging to the
Stroganov's school of the 17-18th centuries. Famous orthodox saints are mainly depicted on the
icons.
