Solikamsk located?

Solikamsk
If you are interested in Russian history, you have an excellent opportunity to learn more about my country. Read the text further and you will understand why. This section is dedicated to Solikamsk, my home town. Solikamsk is not a large city, but it is beautiful. There are many towns of this kind in Russia. Indeed, Russia is not only huge Moscow and Saint-Petersburg. It is rather boundless fields, enormous woods, long rivers, and small towns. People, living in these towns, have been developing the power of Russia for centuries. They worked, studied, drank, brought their children up, created remarkable works of art, and fought for the independent statehood, enhancing Russian glory. In other words, those people have made the history of Russia.
So if you want to study Russian history, make yourself familiar with Solikamsk - a grain of that history!
If you want to have an answer to the Bird's question, load a map (150 K) showing the location of Solikamsk.
If not, go directly to the page containing general information about Solikamsk.

Capital towns of ancient Russia

What do you think about how many capital towns Russia has had? Moscow has not been the only capital of the country. Indeed, Russia has had three capitals more. Two of them were Novgorod and Kyiv (today the capital of Ukraine) - in the 9-13th centuries. From 1721 to 1924 the capital of the country was Saint-Petersburg. Here I present some photos of these cities. Their numerous beautiful churches and cathedrals amaze everyone!
I also offer to look at views of Lviv, a city in West Ukraine, founded in the 13th century. It seems to me that this is the most beautiful town I've ever seen!
