About the project

The project SMF (Stellar Magnetic Fields) is devoted to studying the magnetic fields of normal stars, white dwarfs and neutron stars. The project includes the atomic database, the applied programs for the analysis of the polarization spectra of the stars and finding their magnetic field and the base of the measured stellar magnetic fields. The atomic database list includes those that are useful for the analysis of the polarization spectra of stars, including Lande factors for lines in the optical region of the spectrum. The magnetic field data based on the measured Bz values are accumulated in the MAGNETIC FIELD CATALOGUE. The Bz values available in the database will used for the statistical analysis of stellar magnetic fields and magnetic fluxes.
